Ha! Not any more.

I decided to finish patching this thing together when I couldn't sleep. I let it sit for a week or so after getting it back from B'sylph, and then I had a terrible time with the spacing once I ported it to LJ. Am I shocked that I forgot to close a tag? Um, no.

I really, really liked this; their histories, inextricable, patterned. The introduction and departure of Stacy, and Wilson's wives. The sex, so charged with emotion and hot and integral to the story, yay! The way Wilson followed House, all those different places with the same things happening in them (I can't remember if Baker St is canon, but it's the best thing *ever*).

And there are some fantastic lines:
"My people call this a blowjob."

"Don't you know any better men than me?"

"Somebody has to look out for your future. Eventually one of your little liaisons is going to last. Law of averages. And I'd hate to see a nice guy like you saddled with a fat girl."

The stuff on the walls, on the shelves, they were Wilson's mementos, too, in a way. -- I love love love this idea!

Thanks so much for sharing!

This reads as contrived, nearly forced. I can't really connect with Wilson, though it's his point of view, and it doesn't seem that it's meant to be a detached piece. The ending is less than satisfactory, with a mess of loose threads and what-ifs with no real clarity in sight. While there's a hint at a resolution, it's not carried out, which doesn't serve the reader well.

Wow. If you have a journal and you're seconding my comment--which was meant as constructive, albeit blunt, criticism and not whatever you're attempting to contribute--at least have the balls to sign in.

There's somebody out there who seems to have it in for me from Housefic Meta. *shrug*

While I know the difference between an honest reaction, which I appreciate, and flaming, apparently this anonymous person does not. At least anonymous can't friend you.

I really liked this, the way you could tell House was struggling with loving wilson but wilson clinging to gtting married. And both of them denying each other.

(i)"Do you think we could fly?" Wilson asked. "If we tried?"

"You think we should jump off the roof waving our arms in the air like idiots?"

"Something like that, I guess."

"Sure, that sounds like big fun," House said. He raised himself up and looked down at Wilson's eyes. "Stay out of my pills."(/i)

Best lines evahr!!!!
