[MOD] Posting on AO3?

We are here to ask the team a favour. We, mods, are considering hosting the posting and archiving of your fics on AO3, and possibly keeping the challenge going on AO3 instead of the platforms we are using now (Livejournal and Dreamwidth

I have no problem at all with ao3. I already have my ao3 account from previous challenge and I think it's great when you can post your story in different site. I do really like the challenge feature, the most needed benefit for exchange and stuffs.

Hi ^^ we're using ao3 for the exordium exo longfic challenge currently in postings and of course there are some small hiccoughs but honestly I wouldn't do it any other way. I would recommend having a dw or lj as a central base, for posting a masterlist for example, and Info posts, but definitely! Ao3 is so advantageous.

yeah ao3 would be fine but i still prefer lj for the most part! i don't have an ao3 so. :// and if you were to use ao3, it'd be confusing trying to figure out the masterlist and posting fic rounds, and it's more convenient to having everything on one platform. but the challenge feature is pretty useful too. anything works, so i'm fine with it!!

We wouldn't be giving up DW/LJ, header of the fic/voting would still take place on DW/LJ but the fic would be on AO3.

There are a few things we still need to figure out, too :) Your opinion was appreciated so thank you!

I'm perfectly fine with it! I'm active on ao3 so I think it would be a good idea to post there. I still think we should also keep our comms active, but maybe just link the fics when posting the rounds? Once the challenge is over everyone can share their fics on lj/dw or wherever they want.

I don't have an AO3 account but so far the idea seems good to me (the challenge feature really interests me since I keep retouching my fics all the time...)
