[ART] SPN: RBB Art Masterpost for maychorian's Furlough

Nov 18, 2010 21:37

The second of my art prompts for spn_reversebang was chosen by the talented maychorian. I'll edit in a link to the story after it goes up on the comm, but for now you merely need to know it is a post-S5 Jimmy-centric story ♥. Please go read it and leave feedback!

Okay, once and for all, I love this art. It really looks like a painting to me. I understand about the difficulty of finding a companion pic--this just feels so unique, and so right for the story I wanted to write. :) I spent a lot of time looking at this art while writing the story, and I love the brilliance of it, the starkness, but also the way it seems almost tenderly brushed in, like a watercolor washed out in all the right places.

And from a story perspective, I find it incredibly appropriate that Jimmy's face is blanked out as Castiel possesses him, because that's exactly what's happening. He's losing his identity to the angel, becoming both more and less than he is as himself. Horrible and amazing at the same time.

And now I really need to go to sleep. I hope that you enjoy the story, that it lives up to expectations, and that it's not too riddled with typos. :)

I love it!
Can I ask which font you have used in on that quote? I'd really like to have it. :-)

Thank you! Glad you liked it!

Sure, it's Saint-Andrew's Queen by Jellyka and I am pretty sure I dl'd it off dafont.com. :)

Wow! So pretty! The black in the background looks like it could be the hint of wings too.
