Aw, you know how to break my heart with Lois so vulnerable and Clark so gentle and them being trapped on either side of this great divide.

Great update -- will eagerly await the next! How many parts does this story have for us to anticipate, anyway?

I'm not sure myself. I think it depends on how long it takes Clark and Lois to wend their ways towards each other.

The thing is -- would you believe I wrote this because I wanted to write something fluffier than my usual fare? It'll get there. I'm in total control.

I can't say it enough - I love the way you write Lois. She breaks my heart but she's still completely awesome, which is perfect.

I also love how Clark is doing his best to look after her, which is such a Clark thing to do, but there's still some distance between them that has to be overcome - like a giant near miss, aka their relationship on SV to date.

I love your imagery as well, "kite-flying hands" is a perfect descriptor of Clark, I love it. I'm looking forward to where you take this in part III :)

Yesss -- they're so close, but they're still so far from getting there, and the closer they get to each other the more slowly they approach.
