I'm going to have to reread this in about 30 minutes so I can absorb it all better, but the end totally kills me. I don't know who I should be more sad for right now - Clark or Lois. I like that Lois has actively chosen not to fall back into the habit of Oliver though.
I've been reading this story, but your writing leaves me so speechless that I've been remiss in leaving feedback. The imagery of this story, the way each word is full of meaning and cuts straight through into who Lois is, how she sees herself, what she and Clark are to one another... it's just incredible. What a magnificent, delicately wrought piece of art this story is. It flows so well, and yet also feels so much more like poetry than prose.
This particularly gorgeous chapter seems to have sliced right into me as well. I loved every bit of it, from Lois's ruminations on Oliver to that heartbreaking ending. Thank you.
Oh, you've killed me. I just love, love your style or writing and the word choices are absolutely perfect. I really, I really, just love your words, the imagery they convey, the absolute emotion they show when strung so tightly together.
