[He's just playing with the Dreamberry as he writes that opera he said he would. But he has an important question:]

Am I still 35 or am I 36? I had a birthday, but then I had another one here. Or have I gone back in time? Nannerl is from the past. I guess I'd still be 35, but another year older would be interesting. But then I would be old. Hmm.

[Bored Neku is very bored and is having artist block so-]

... Does it really matter that much?

And yeah, if you don't specify who then it just goes out to everyone.

Wouldn't you care how old you were? It's important to know!

Interesting! So everybody heard this? This could be very useful.

[Time to make everybody listen to his music.]

I guess. When you "wake up", nothing changes and you forget your time here so to each his own.

[He chooses not to celebrate his birthday so meh]

... What do you mean?

I can understand that, but while I am here, I would like to remember my age. I'm too young to be forgetting it.

[Besides somebody gave him a gift.]

I can play my music over this then! Perhaps if I set it on a piano or near the people playing my music. Hmm.

What does it matter?

You're still an old man. [Can you hear his contempt? He doesn't trust anyone older than he is. That's a tough break, since Gokudera is 14]

[He's got a lot going against him, then.]

Now, now. I wouldn't say I'm an old man. I just have experience!

You're old. [Gokudera repeats. 35 or 36 is like - ancient and unrelateable]

Don't be disgusting. [He totally misread that 'I have experience' comment]

And you're young.

...Disgusting? [Going over his head.]

Is today your birthday Master Mozart?

Not today! It was a while ago actually. But the question has been plaguing my mind.

Oh... well does it matter?

Everybody keeps asking me that. Why of course it matters! Doesn't your age usually matter? And I did already have a birthday, don't you wonder at all what this would mean?

I guess it's really up to you, but I've celebrated my birthday here~ [both times~]

Though if you recently celebrated it...hm...I suppose that does cause a bit of a dilemma, wouldn't it?

Well, I had already celebrated a new year and a birthday before I came here. I forgot about my birthday entirely!

I suppose it's up to more experience or staying the same forever, but that could be very boring. Yet...

Hmm.

It is rather strange to think about aging in a dream world, but that does seem to be the case.

If anything, you could still throw the party~!

Isn't it?

[But oh, he likes you. That's the right track of mind.]

You are right! But my birthday has passed quite some time now. But I'm sure I can find another reason for a party. You can't have too many of those.

I suppose you're however old you feel you are. And yes, these Dreamberries broadcast to the entirety of Somarium unless you tell them to do otherwise.

Isn't that an answer. I suppose you're right! Maybe I'll start going by that. [Time to start making up ages now.] That really is amazing, though. Sending letters was never like this! It should have been. So much saved time.

It is, yes. We had telephones back home, but they were nowhere near this advanced. [I mean, video and text and all that. Can't do that on early phones.]

[Talks with Austria teach him so much about the future.]
