It makes me sad when people take someone's word just because they have an advanced degree. I know SO MANY people who get post-post-secondary degrees but have no sense. -_-;;
Maybe you can get her off your back by making your time with your brother seem more like "hanging out." Like, go to the library together(though, I'm not sure if you can drive/have a car you can use), bake cookies, or watch goofy movies together.
I know the feeling of spending a lot of time taking care of siblings..especially with some kind of disability (my twin brothers are autistic and I pretty much been taking care of them since I was 8 years old until I moved from my house)....
So I know sometimes it might be frustrating when people who really don't know how things are by being in your shoes talk like if they know.....ignore her LexiLexi, I believe you're a great sister for taking care and hanging out with your brother ^^
D: Ouch, this is such a touchy subject. I feel pretty sorry for you and your family, dealing with biploar-ness is pretty difficult :/
But let's be real about this, therapist decision or no, if you're spending literally all week with him and his friends, which i'm sure is fairly difficult for you, you deserve some sort of time for yourself, regardless of whether or not you're a "teenager". All people need a break and time for themselves at some point~
It just sucks when you have to break the barrier for family, you don't want it to come off as a burden because they're family and you're supposed to take care of eachother, but everybody needs a life outside of that. Going out and getting away with a friend or two every once in a while, at least. I'm sure that therapist wouldn't be spending as much time dealing with bipolar people if she wasn't getting paid for it, and i'm sure as hell positive that she spends her time off enjoying herself and her friends :/
I THINK YOU NEED TO MOVE INTO YOUR BROTHER'S ROOM, AND STAY THERE WITH HIM UNTIL HES AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD BECAUSE HE NEEDS YOU. HE NEEDS YOU HOME AT ALL TIMES, UNLESS YOU TAKE HIM ON ERRANDS WITH YOU
( ... )
