[ The last thing Will remembers is holding onto Lion tight, making sure to protect the kid from the massive onslaught of Bernkastel's army of angry kitties. Though the possibility was so small (just like Lion's existence itself), Will was certain that they'd make it out of there alive somehow. Together. After all, Lion was Clair's 1 in 2,578,917 chance...
So when Will wakes up in some strange bed, he's not entirely surprised. He and Lion made this miracle, right? Or maybe, it was Bern just toying with them, ready to let them go on and think they made it safe before ruining their lives at the last minute. Regardless, Will would keep on his guard. He wasn't expecting to have his arm back, either. At least it saved him the trouble of having to go back and grab it.
Most importantly, though, Lion wasn't here. The person sleeping by Will's side wasn't anyone he'd ever even seen before. Some new kakera, undoubtedly, but which? Quietly, he slips away, noticing a phone. Of course he'd investigate whatever the hell was going on - a phone sure seemed like a convenient way to do that.
... Disturbingly enough, there's a picture frame by the phone involving him and the lady besides him, as well as two kids. Like a family. Bizarre.
Could have at least included my little lady.
Muddled thoughts aside, Will picks up the receiver. ]
Hey. If anyone can hear me, I'm looking for a person that goes by the name of Lion Ushiromiya. I'm trying to help that kid get back home.
... Right. Knowing where the hell I am would be nice, too. [ Obviously, Willard holds no reservations about being blunt to a pack of total strangers. ]
