So, they just happen to eat waffles on the episode that airs during International Waffle Day. Coincidence? I think not.
Sayed shooting Ben. Saw that one coming right? After all, kill Ben, maybe you can change your future. Only we seem to be locked in right now. If true change to the timeline were possible, multiple instances of time travel should result in more confusion, not less. Now we are seeing some of the forces at work behind the scenes. Anyway, no big deal that Ben was shot. "Favored" island people seem to have a Wolverine-like ability to sustain damage. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if innocent little Ben is motivated in some way to become the manipulative ass he grows up to be by this very event.
