i have a bad tooth ... i need a root canal or it has to be pulled ... i dont know what to do .... both options seem scary

I had a root canal done. It wasn't a bad experience. It was hard being in the chair for so long during multiple visits to the dentist, but my tooth was so far gone that I hardly felt any pain from the procedure. The only time my mouth really hurt was when they put the rod in to secure the tooth. They have to put a rod through your tooth into your gum to anchor the tooth. I would recommend getting a crown if you have a root canal. Your tooth will last much longer with a crown. The tooth by itself is fragile. It's just a shell.

Root Canal isn't as scary an option as you might think. I had two done at once. Shitty dentist didn't identify months before than i had a cavity.
