BEACH FUNTIMES

[Enjoy your funtime on the beach people, before Aku shows up!]

[Rydia, deciding to act on Selphie's plan, departed for the beach. As with last time, she just wore her leotard, and brought along a blanket and a picnic basket, packed with plenty to share. She also nudged a certain broody dragoon to come along, as well. Training and draft preparations had already commenced, but it wouldn't kill them to have a couple hours' downtime. And if it got too noisy, she would consider warping them away.

Upon reaching the beach, she spread out the blanket--close enough to the beach for when she wanted a swim, but not so close as to get splashed. Upon setting everything out just how she wanted it, the summoner stretched and prepared to spend some time doing just want she wanted and no more.]

[Kain probably looked out of place, all armored up and carrying his Holy Lance with him. It was a necessary precaution he took everywhere he went, needing to be ready for a fight at all times. Usually, it didn't amount to anything happening, but it was better to be on guard.]

[Seeking out Rydia, Kain noticed her green hair right away and went over to join her. He set his lance down nearby as he settled on the blanket beside her with an "I'm here, now what" expression.]

[Oh, Kain. Rydia can't imagine someone looking and feeling more out of place than he did, but she appreciates his arrival, nonetheless. And since that expression is crystal clear, her response is quickly given.]

Now, relax and enjoy lunch. And it won't hurt to set aside some of that armor, either. We're just at the lake. The only thing that's going to happen is a little downtime.

OHSHIT IT'S AKU

[Aku is attacking yo shit! What do?]

[Kain gestures at Rydia to get her attention, then points where Aku is beginning his attack. As if she would even be able to ignore his appearance. He gets up immediately, lance already in hand. He's got a score to settle after all. Being manipulated again is nothing he can tolerate. He's reigned in his anger for a few weeks now, but what better opportunity to vent?]

[There's no time to put back on his arm and chest armor, thanks to Rydia making him STRIP FOR HER remove it during beach-lounging time. But he does get to slap the helmet onto his head... before he charges away toward Aku.]

[That cruel laugh definitely gets Rydia's attention as she looks over from their spot at the beach. Immediately, she stands and reattaches her whip to her side. Her eyes narrow.]

I'll never bow to you.

[The summoner follows Kain, knowing better than to think he could turn from this opportunity. She can't deny her own ire, either. Hence, Rydia pauses after covering some distance, Kain charging ahead while she begins casting. She's not certain that a Stop spell will affect him, but she has to try....]
