I don't usually write sappy, I suck at sappy. I wanted epic too, but same as you - time wasn't on my side this week. I tried a re-write about 3x, gave up, and edited this, still unhappy with it.

Aww, this is really sweet! And it really makes you think about the man-dog relationship; dogs really do love people in a way that people could never love each other. It almost DOES seem supernatural! Great piece this week. :D
