Ooh! I should definitely hang up my green MC06 shirt on my wall. Something happened to the symbol on the front when it was being laundered, so it looks less awesome to actually wear, but it would still make an awesome wall decoration! Also I only have 3 things hanging on my wall right now so that side of the room looks barren compared to my roommate's.

Each night before 10, campers have to sign-in with the staff telling us that they A) exist, and B) will not leave the area immediately around the dorms until sunrise tomorrow (unless they are with staff, relatives, etc). Most people sign-in between 8 and 10, and so some staff member hangs out in the main lounge wearing a silly hat to signify that they are the person running sign-in that night.

That straw hat I had last year? Yeah, that was the sign-in hat from MC '08. All of the silly attachments had been removed, but it was still the same hat.

Oh, the hat of thinking-about-things-other-than-fields! Here I figured the sign-in hat was a hat people had to drop some sort of sign-in slips in.

Oh yeah, that was the hat of thinking-about-things-other-than-fields! Fortunately, I still have the unicorn-of-smiling, so not all is lost.

Totally unrelated, but the CS lab appears to have gotten totally new Linux machines (with new names). That's why the old machines were down. I seem to recall one of the new ones being named bellatrix, but I can't ssh into it right now, so I'm not sure if they aren't configured for ssh or what...
