How positively charming. Really, I would have expected nothing more out of a world designed for the dead.

But tell me, if this is a world for the deceased, why are you alive? I hardly believe the Grim Reaper would type so casually.

That doesn't correctly answer my question, and you are still not the Grim Reaper. Therefore, your answer is invalid.

While I am sincerely flattered you feel me worthy of your time to mock and jab at, I do not have time for such shenanigans.

you might want to be careful
as you explore

I assume you are referring to the monsters I have heard so much about. I had the misfortune of running into one earlier, but it did not seem so interested in me; it was a brightly colored pig that quickly took it's leave when I gazed upon it.

Am I correct in assuming, however, that there are stronger beings hiding in the shadows?

that is the correct assumption yes
or at least thats what everyone seems to keep saying
though i have yet to see one myself
so i guess it may or may not be entirely true

I see. In that case, remaining out here on my own without any magic to my name could prove not only dangerous but positively suicidal. I will need to seek shelter quickly if I wish to remain in one piece and breathing.

This place is called Discedo. Here's a text file that might help. It's a bit outdated because the person who wrote it isn't here anymore, but for the most part it's accurate.

That was most definitely the most informative thing I have received since I arrived to this place. I can see how Dave would enjoy it here; I cannot possibly think of something more ironic than a post-apocalyptic wasteland having it's own brochure.

Besides that, thank you very much, miss. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. My name is Rose Lalonde.

It's nice to meet you too! I'm Amu Hinamori. I think I've talked to your Dave before. He writes in red?

Yes, I do believe that would be him. I certainly hope he has not been too off-putting to your sensibilities. He can be quite brazen, and if irony was measured in pounds, he'd be towing a fair sized truck.

You talk a lot. But that's okay I guess. I don't think there's uh, radiation poisoning going on around here.

You're in Discedo, on the planet Fortuna. Long story short, some scientists kidnapped a bunch of people from different times and places, chipped them to suppress their otherworldly powers or senses and uh, watch out for the monsters and crawly stuff prowling throughout the city.

Try to find some shelter soon.

Preferable. Most desolate cities are stereotyped into having radiation leaks or problems due to the nature of their apparent abandonment. If a city is empty and broken, it can often be assumed it was the result of a nuclear problem, through direct transference or possibly through food poisoning.

The same story I have heard from a few others; it is more reassuring to know it is kept constant through it's tellings. Hopefully this means I am getting the truth, as it is highly unlikely this whole circumstance is a cosmic joke just to be played upon me.

My friend tells me there is an apartment they are using as shelter on a street called Marshall, but I'm afraid I am unsure of how to arrive there. For now, I have been waiting for one of them to come and retrieve me.
