i'm just going to talk if you don't mind...
last last friday we went to the ucsb film festival because daniel was in one the films called the playmate, which was outstanding. all the films and performances were extremely good and pretty inspiring. then all weekend i went to the beach and a few bbq's. it was very relaxing.
and then last friday was the carnival. tulsi, leah, christina and i ran the face painting booth, but i only painted a few faces and most of my time was spent hanging around and talking with tulsi and leah or doing the cake walk. the next morning, lauren and i went to san marcos to take the subject test for world history. after the test was over i went home and did my chores. helen then picked me up and we drove to the beach and meet up with sydney, jackie and michelle. soon matt, chris, evan and val arrived. we layed and ate and swam and went on the rocks. around four or so some of us went to sydney's pool. i brought a disposable waterproof camera i found around my house from 1998 and finally finished the roll. sydney and i went back to michelle's to shower and then everyone met at helen's house. michelle, sydney, jackie, katie, me, helen and her family drove to montecito to a nice italian restaurant called via vai to celebrate helen's belated sixteenth birthday. angie soon showed up and we ate and drank. i felt a little sad during dinner because lauren wasn't able to make it and i missed her. after dinner we went back to helen's, where matt and amp enjoyed us for cake and ice cream. everybody went back to michelle's and some went into the hot tube, but even at 10pm it was too hot outside for the hottube. we talked outside about unsolved mysteries. i got scared and that was my cue to go home.
last wednesday i got my permit and this saturday i have my first driving lesson with wally. i'm not as nervous as i was because my mom took me to a empty parking lot yesterday and i got a little feel for driving (not really). a few weeks ago i applied at the little dog house and the manager finally called me back and i might go in on saturday to work to get a feel for the job. so i may have a part time summer job (maybe) (paying $8 an hour)
oh and in case you were wondering about how i applied for the summer exchange in japan a few months ago. well i didn't get accepted for the program. i guess it was because of my age, i quailed, but i was too old (or somethin). i was really bummed out before, but i realized i'll hopefully have other opportunities to travel. speaking of. i'm going to new york city to visit anne for a few days before anne and emily leave for europe. i also might go to ohio in august to visit my grandmother, but i'd go by myself. but but but EMILY COMES HOME TOMORROW! I'M SO EXCITED! haha i guess that's enough, here are some pictures from that underwater camera
today during lunch we went to jackie's and ate veggie lasagna and buffalo wings!
