well, i wouldn't leave home without one, however once i had left home i'd probably feel terribly embarassed for wearing one. of course i've never looked good in any kind of hat. not that it ever stopped me from wearing one, but that's all in the past now and i do not wish to revisit it.
and yes you are right, in fact i would say he is sexy three times over.
