It amazes me how many parents have a difficult time with the concept of their children having actual, you know, LIVES that do not include their parents. I think that, theoretically at least, parents have probably the best idea of what's best for their children... outside of the child himself

I completely agree. I hope that as a parent, I remember to ask them about their life/s and motives, rather than just assume. I know parents make the decisions, but it's better to make an informed decision.

It's easy for me to say, we'll see when/if I have some of my own.

i need some help, and maybe you will know where i can look for it:

i was raped, phys and ment abused as a young teen by my moms second husband for over 5 years...and sometimes it is still just too much to deal with.

L tries to help but honestly sometimes says all the wrong things trying to be helpfull and just letting me know she is there for whatever i need. besides, the issues aren't hers and i know really just pisses her off during the finding the skelton phase.

i've had more then one bad run-in with a psyc over this so i wish to remain basically unknown and still i need some help (maybe online??)

any suggestions, just so i don't stick my ass out in the wind and get it blown off??

i am not the most trusting of ppl and it can be a major downfall at times

i am rembering the old hashed stuff in detail, and think a new blocked memory is trying to resurface...which throws off my entire outlook.
