Things that piss vlad off #89342

Hi. My name is Vladimir Aurora Demikhov. I have the following confirmed diagnoses: Major Depression, Generalize Anxiety Disorder, and Eating Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (ED-NOS, baby!). I'm not telling you this because I want you to feel sorry for me. I have these things under control ( Read more... )

Oh god I totally fucking feel you. Disorders like that are not games or jokes. They are REAL LIFE, OFTEN DEBILITATING DISORDERS. I have an unknown anxiety disorder too (all pyschiatrists and therapists I've seen have labeled it as just "severe anxiety" and nothing else). I also have sensitivity issues and am a huge ton more sensitive than the average 18-year-old girl. My "friends'" answer to hanging out with a girl who has these problems? Take advantage of her and try to find ways to make her cry and scream in every way possible just so they can call her a big baby and a little bitch for doing so! :D

Panic and sensitivity issues are NO picnic. They are not fun, it is not fun feeling like I am on a whole nother planet from my friends and soulbonds because the smallest thing will send me into crying fits, and when people try to take advantage of it by playing Let's See If This Makes Star Cry it's even worse.

As someone who jumps a mile in the air and might even burst into tears at just the sound of the toaster popping, I sympathise completely. Sudden noises and pokes are the bane of my existence D:

Sudden movements are what do it for me. And sudden loud noises or any kind of loud noise. Vocal tones do it for me too, and my shitty friends from last summer used to use this to screw with my mind too.

I have trouble in school because a lot of the boys and some of the girls enjoy making sudden, loud movements or noises just to be idiots.

I would have smacked them. Not out of anger, but self-defence, retaliation.

I have a weird thing with voices, too. I can listen to music on my headphones, but if it's just a spoken voice, I have to take one ear-bud out because otherwise I feel super-on-edge, like someone is touching the base of my neck.

Also, anyone standing behind me? No. It freaks me. A 'friend' at school when I was little used to love to yank on my hair from behind and make me cry.

Loud noises are the worst D: I can't stand fireworks, thunderstorms or dogs (in case they bark), and I am actually terrified of balloons to the point that I can't be in a room with one o.o

Shall we go live in a cotton-wool lined sound-proofed (and idiot-proofed?) bubble somewhere? :D

I feel you, completely. I have no idea why people would flaunt a 'disability' that way. I was diagnosed with autism at age 14 and have spent the past 12 years trying to disassociate from the label and not have it define me. I can't understand those who wear it like a badge of membership to a special exclusive club of people that the average layman will never understand wah wah wah. I think if you're that socially inclined (i.e. able to form coherent and functional groups of like-minded individuals), it's unlikely that you are autistic anyway :\ I don't mean that autistic people can't have friends - of course they can. But they find it much much harder, and most wouldn't have the social theory to manipulate people the way these people seem to in order to gain sympathy and attention ( ... )

If you have a legitimate issue, then, yeah, its gonna come up now and again. Honestly I'm amazed at your general positive nature, given how difficult it is to navigate panic disorders and such.

When I'm living in Florida I'll let you stay with me whenever you want.
