I've just finished the first sock for my SO, and am excited to get started on the second one today.
I had a grand ole time knitting these. Here is some info-
Yarn: Brown Sheep's Wildfoote
Color: Master Grey
Needles: Crystal Palace size 2 dps's
Pattern: Arrow [it's a 8 stitch repeat pattern]
Details [from my ravelry]
1/22 Started the socks with the idea that i should cast on for wider feet, but was mistaken. By the first repeat of the arrow pattern Mark took a gander at the sock and found out it was too wide.
1/23 Re-gauged with size 2 instead of 1.5 needles. Worked perfectly for casting on one pattern repeat less co 64 instead of 80.
1/24-25 Taught 6th grade these days- since there was a student teacher in charge of the class i was able to get quite a bit of knitting done i promise i was a teacher too, i didn;t shirk my duties!
1/27 Started on the heel flap- these socks are going fast! Promise i will get some pics soon!
2/3 Completed the kitchener stitch on the toes of sock #1. Pictures avail now! Will start second sock today.
PS I don’t like the yarn color much. It looks good now the sock is done, but as i was knitting it seemed the color looked like i had been knitting with dirty hands….odd…
Thanks for looking!
