30 Day Gaming Meme, Days 10 & 11
If I could have a perfect game, it'd be the simplistic moving around a cursor instead of running around all over time gameplay that Persona 3 Portable offers. Some complain that the "cursor" type instead of actually moving your character is lazy, and that they didn't like it. /shrug I like it better than the original running ALL around town thing, although if it's that big of a deal, I could take a P4 style play. You hit Square and can go anywhere. You can do the same in P3P, but you don't directly control your character. I just find it easier. Didn't bother me. See;
You see your character on the side, and the pink cursor is basically you. I don't know, this seems to be a love/hate thing in the fandom, but as I said, it doesn't bother me. I find it preferrable to running my character everywhere, just for a stupid Persimmon Leaf. >:| (There's something to do with an S.Link and you can't initiate it until you get a leaf. In the original console games, this took like, twenty agonizing minutes of running around town. In the PSP version, you can pop into school with the square button, and pop back and be all "I have the leaf!" in like, 2 minutes. Ahh. ♥

If I could mix it with Xenosaga III's amazing battle system I really would. Even ES (mecha) battles are rewarding! I agree Marta, Volume II is just...difficult. KOS-MOS sounds too "human" and Shion sounds like she's got an awful cold, mixed with the crappy battle system. I thought this version improved on all of the voices (Shion & KOS-MOS are back to normal) and made the battle system better. Some fans don't like it because they said it strayed from the button mush of ability that is the games, but I preferred the simpilar attack pattern.
Oh, and there's nothing wrong with Persona 3 Portable's battle system, really. I can play it for hours, and such. It's just, the grinding is usually all mushed into an hour or two for me, and I wish it was a little more divided. It's just a bit tiresome, but not a problem, given how much I play. xD
Day 11: System of Choice:
I kind of wish I could just transfer all my games to this. So light. So handheld. So PORTABLE. So much better than sitting at a desk, or on a couch. I can lay in BED with this one. ;D Hee.
