So my computer pieces finally shipped today. I'm pretty happy. My plans changed a bit since the last time I mentioned them, so here are the new pieces behind a wee little cut:

I really should have sprung for the 6600GT, but that would've been another $50. Oh well. Also, I can't remember what all advice I made Kyle give me, so I'll just offer him a blanket thanks. A few other friends of mine that don't read this journal gave me a lot of pointers, too, but I've already offered my gratitude to them. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my selections. I bet I'll have to get a new power supply unit, though, because the one coming with the case is probably going to suck major ass noise-wise... but other than, everything seems fine.

The fun part is going to be putting everything together, but it shouldn't be too difficult. I guess my biggest concern is the case having enough room, but I'm fairly confident that it does. I'll find out when everything arrives, which looks like it's going to be around Tuesday or Wednesday. Newegg decided to be a douche and take their time processing my order. Mneh. Well, my harddrive is supposedly arriving tomorrow, but I bet that's a lie.

By the way, let it be known that I hate Orientations. I understand that people are tired of walking around, frustrated at waiting to talk to their adviser, and pissed-off that they can't find the student center. But there's no reason to take out your woes on someone trying to help you. Whenever I overheard someone sounding lost, I'd kindly offer directions. Some people were glad and appreciated it. But most of them bit my face off. I mean, I didn't have to help you, so why the hell would you throw several hundred profanities at me in response?

Mneh. Classes end on the 26th, so I'm pretty happy.
