“Ah! Hikaru!” Haruhi shouted in surprise as she slapped her hand over the back of her neck, having just been bombarded by a sudden jet of breath. Hikaru appeared in front of her, grinning his trademark, cat-like grin, and he lightly pinched her cheek, to which she pouted.
“Yes, Haruhi~?”
“Will you stop messing with me?! My neck’s sensitive and there’s no reason for you to be pinching my cheek!”
Hikaru laughed and wrapped his arms around Haruhi, pulling her closer. He nuzzled into her hair, chuckling.
“But it’s so much fun~ you’re fun to tease, Haruhi, I can’t help that! You’re you and I don’t wanna change that~!”
Haruhi pouted at him, but didn’t do anything more than that. She liked the way Hikaru felt warm when he held her like this, and how she was simply amazed every time he managed to charm her while teasing her.
She grumbled for a moment. “Yeah, well, you still shouldn’t be doing unnecessary things like that while we’re hosting your mother’s birthday party!” she scolded, looking up at him. Hikaru laughed again.
“Alright alright~ though mom doesn’t mind at all, you know~”
“I know but-ACK!”
Hikaru had bit her ear and classically ran off cackling while Haruhi stood in place, spouting off little Haru-fumes while a wave of red overtook her face.
