For a significant birthday for my mum, I got her a *really* nice kaleidoscope. All her life, she has always played with them in stores, loved them, sat them down with a sigh as she felt she shouldn't spend the money on one

I'm sorry about the kaleidoscope...they are really addictive and it sucks when you suddenly don't have one. Why do the women always end up with the cool stuff in breakups? :P
