So many shows - so little time & money

I am having a hard time focusing on work today. Partly due to a three week stretch of craziness/little sleep and partly due to a very sore ballet body. Thank goodness no drop-in on Fridays otherwise I would be in trouble ( Read more... )

I know,I know.

I've been wanting to hear Kane Hodder & Mon Frere for a while now & part of me wants to see Blood Brothers just to say that I've seen them & tried. Lady Sovereign, Village Green, Thee Emergency & Daylight Basement are all playing too. It's really just the crowds that get to me. In crowds that big I tend to feel smaller than I am & get knocked around a bit.

I used to work for a store that did Bumpershoot. Got backstage for free and all that stuff. I dont think I will ever pay for it again. Matt and I went one year where I had to be like the little people with out passes. Not worth it. Ani was playing and all but not as good as she could be. I saw the line up this year and was not impressed. Eh. oh well. Over hyped. I say skip it this year unless there is a band you really have to see.

My 2 cents.

Call my friend Ilana - she might be able to work out a way for you to get in free through the Rep. Although that is also Dave at the Gorge weekend, so she probably won't be there for most of the time.

And I'm easy: here's my concert schedule...
Tuesday - DMB at Blossom (Cleveland, OH)
Wednesday - possible Flaming Lips/many other bands festi
End of the month - DMB at Shoreline and probably LA
2-4 Sept - DMB at the Gorge

Maybe some Guster in there too if they throw in a non-radio studio "special appearance" here sometime.

And explain the ballet thing - are you taking classes? I'm taking aerobics classes right now with a friend - it's totally kicking my ass.
