i was on mysace just now, and i came to the conclusion that of the 127 people that are my "friends" on myspace, about ten or twelve are ones that i consider real friends, and of that maybe three or four that i will be in toutch with after high school. it's so dumb that i have people on my friends list from new york, and ive never been there or met

For the most part, I agree, but you are neglecting a major fact about MySpace.

I'm fairly positive that MySpace was created so that you are exposed to people from different areas of the world so that you can make new friends. People who are on your "friends list" may not know, but that's the prerogative of MySpace. One thing that most people misconstrue about MySpace is that it is a blog. I do not consider a blog; it is not well suited for blogging. Therefore, it's more of a Facebook or friendster thing than a Livejournal or Xanga.

Long story short, MySpace is to meet new people, therefore it's expected that you have unknown people on your list.

teddy, you think too much. but yeah i think it sucks i have more than 100 people on my friends list since i dont do anything with it... and some of the people i dont know, or they are my frienhds friends and i wanna delete them, but some people are really freaking stupid and freak out over that stuff, like if someone cuts them from their lj friends

theres the editorial writer in you. clean up your language and ask if you can put that on the myspace page haha ANYWAY i must agree with you. thats why i dont add anyone i dont recognize... but there are still like 2974298574 people on my list that i dont really KNOW. but think about it this way: sure you have about 200 people that you dont care about sitting on your friends list BUT you know exactly which ones you DO like - and thats a nice thing to know... so its all good SON.
