I wonder: (1) ... if there are other errors, like a kid saying "feld" for "folded". If kids are mis-applying a precedent, rather than a general rule, it shouldn't matter how common the precendent is. (2) ... what mechanism people are suggesting for the gender difference. I'm also surprised that the research isn't excoriated by the community that suggests that women's learning can't possibly be different from men's.
