Hey :) I've just received your kind feedback for my "The assistant seducer's diary" and I want to thank you. I tried to send a e mail to you but my outlook did not accept to do that so I search you lj and I did it :) BTW I friended you I hope it is ok!
There's some wonderful analyses going on here in this LJ that I want to read all through when I get time. I was looking through the "ring psychology" post and some of the definition of success for the quest. I hope you don't mind that I friend you? (-:
Of course you can friend meeykarApril 12 2005, 19:18:45 UTC
Anyone with the interest to get through my wandering thoughts on LoTR is more than welcome. (The Meta-notes are compilations of stuff that is already in the chapter notes, so yoou can safely skip them if you want.) If you have any answering thoughts I would like to know them.
Will do. (-: You've read Tolkien's thoughts in "The Letters" already I assume, where he touches on lots of the issues you are raising? I don't treat his speculations as any more definitive than any of ours, but they are fun to read and to see him grappling with some of the same issues you raise.
I have only read bits and pieces of the letters, but intend to read them systematically one of these days. The text seemed like the logical place to start.
