You know, rereading this is the first time I caught that Sam has remembered the barrow?... I'm usually gulping down the pages, racing headlong for Cirith Ungol.

Thanks! My aims include noticing all the picky details that I would miss if I didn't make myself read slowly and write down every single thing that strikes me as interesting, even if I don't know why. LoTR is full of depths that don't call attention to themselves.
