You're not an oddity, maybe just a victim of location! :( Hopefully you'll find some like souls, soon? But even if you don't, I know you, and you're awesome enough to keep on keeping on.
There are loads of women who feel the same way as you. I might have children one day - it's certainly something Peter and I have talked about, but like you, I loathe being around "new mothers". I'm not much of a "girly" person either. (God, i hate carrying a purse, and don't if I can get away with it (ie: I happen to need more than my sunglasses - like phone and Advil LOL) ) And I'd rather watch anything SciFi over Desperate Housewives any day of the week! I've always gotten along better with male persons, and most of my closest girl friends in life have all been "tomboyish".
Anyway, I wish I had some magic words to make you feel better, but I'm glad you posted, because I've been missing reading you. I'm thinking about you and hope you can find some "kindred spirits".
LJ always makes me feel better....though there are still aspects of me that don't fit in here either, at least it's still more comfortable. If that makes sense
I mean, really, how weird is it that I have three blogs, all of which are geared towards different audiences. There are certain things (fandom related) that I post here but not in other places.
I dunno. I guess most people feel like this sometimes
