He's Baaack. (Open)

Lucivar is outside again, and alone, his wings folded tight to his back as though their weight is a comfort - as well it might be. He looks pensive, walking across the grass for once sans weapon, his bearing altered only a very little from the events of the past weeks. He's healed, physically and mentally, but far from unaffected by the experience ( Read more... )

A silver-haired witch comes marching straight up to him and punches him in the shoulder with the arm not holding a six-month old. "Don't you ever scare me like that again," she says, then she throws the arm around him in a tight hug.

Intense relief is also visible on Chaosti's face as he comes up behind his wife. "What she means is, it's good to have you back, Brother."

Aiden just giggles and grabs at anything of Lucivar he can reach, especially hair.

Well, Lucivar doesn't mind having his hair tugged right now by Aiden. He gives her a one-armed hug back, a smile flicking over his face. "My sincerest apologies, Lady," only half dryly, and then more seriously, "Thank you." And a glance for Chaosti. "It's good to have you back, Brother."

Because not knowing the Circle, in retrospect, is one of the worst things about going back.

Chaosti nods shortly in response, he never likes when things like this happen to members of the Circle, but this time was particularly bad. The wings, and Gabrielle's risky attempt to stabilize him. Gabrielle pulls back enough to give him an almost steady smile. "How are you feeling?" she asks, attempting to free Lucivar's hair from her son's hand. He tries to keep it away from her, giggling because now it's a game.

"Now, boyo," Lucivar says sternly at Aiden, "Don't upset your mother. She can be very scary when she's upset." And an almost steady smile back. "Better," simply, and adds, "You're all right?"

Because he remembers that risky attempt and while on the one hand it makes him tetchy on the other...well. So he's going to accept that Chaosti let it happen and be grateful.

When the twins see Lucivar the first thing they look for is the wings. When they see that they're in one piece, as if they'd never been damaged, relieved grins spread across their faces and they chase after him. "Lucivar!" One redheaded Elf comes up on either side of him and they give him a tight, relieved hug.

Almost a jump, but he definitely doesn't object to getting tackled, slinging an arm around each of them, breathing in their psychic scent with evident relief and fuzzing the nearest hair. "Ambarussa!"

The fuzzed twin gives Lucivar a half-hearted blow to the shoulder and the other laughs. "It's good to see you in one piece again, Lucivar."

"Are you all right?"

He makes a slight face. "Tired, but I'm all right." And it's even mostly true. He gives them a grin. "It's good to see you at all," and he means it - glad to see them and know them for friends, fully aware of himself and what's going on.

Melou knows nothing of all this; he's just going about his usual afternoon process of grubbing around outside to see whether there are any edibles around--actually, it's almost cherry season, a week or so until, and, finding a tree, he has a great quantity of unripe sour cherries in his tunic, which is off of him and slung over his shoulder.

This is pretty fun, really.

A pause, when Lucivar sees Melou, and then turns to head in his direction with a slight smile. "Hey, boyo," he calls from a distance.

He turns and looks up at Lucivar, and for a split-second he smiles, the fine smile that belongs to his uncle Gawain; and then he's just plain again, slipped back into his usual mournful-faced awkwardness.

But the smile goes a long way toward easing some of the ache in Lucivar's heart, because Melou is a good boyo, and it's good to see him smile.

"What're you up to?" He asks, giving Melou a little half-grin of his own.

Phedre sees him, from a distance, but stays away.

He didn't recognize her, last time she saw him, after all. And so though she is visible, she does not go to him, only noting to herself that he is no longer in bed - and that this is a source of joy alone.

T: Because I couldn't resist and Anita is SO jealous and really wants out right now. But laggytime is making it tough. I'm likely to lag even more in the next 10 days.

He feels eyes on him and turns his head, notices Phedre and hesitates, for just a moment. Because when someone's seen him on the killing edge and that someone isn't Blood, their next reaction is usually a little...well. Predictable.

XD We're glad to see her. I miss you - I can't wait until you get back! <33

The flicker of recognition in his eyes is enough. Strong with the knowledge of Sagramore's return, she takes a few steps in his direction, smiling wide for him.

"You are well," she says, warm and happy, with only fear of frightening him with the affection she feels, and none of him.

"I am glad. So glad."

T: We're glad to see Lucivar too. We missed him. A lot.

And I miss you. A lot. Can't wait to get back too. I'll be on tomorrow - last chance before I get into the internet-less vacuum called family. <333

There's relief in his eyes, even for her - much as she makes him nervous, he wouldn't have her frightened for the world. He's had enough of frightened ladies to last him a lifetime and more.

"I'm well," with a half a soft smile, almost startled himself. And almost adds, 'and you're here' but decides not to.

There might be a grandfatherly figure smoking up a pipe in the distance, and smiling gently.

He strolls by at a normal pace.

"I don't think I've seen a happier sight since the last rainbow broke out, m'boy," Merlin says, smiling wide.

Lucivar turns and offers him one of those half smiles he has so often. "I have to say I've never been described as a rainbow," half dryly.

"Hardly, though you do not lack the poetry, I assure you."

The distance is closed, and an arm clasp extended.

"How are you, my boy?"

He accepts it. "I'm well enough," easily, though he does look worn out, as though from a long sickness.
