Food from grocery stores is over rated. I don't think I've shopped at one since I started coming to NYC, and that was 3 months ago. Of course my company pays for me to go out while I'm here, and when I'm home I often eat at my mom's/dad's/brother's place, but still I stand by my point GROCERIES ARE FOR THE WEAK!

There was an article in treehugger about getting your food out of the garbage, but I can't find it right now. I can say it's certainly cheap though, and environmentally friendly!

Wegmans dude. Do not fuck with Wegmans. Or Whole Foods, they're pretty good. Nothing beats a good grocery store. Japan actually has a kick ass grocery/department store called "You me town" (They pronouce "U-may town.") Its like a Walmart only much less evil feeling. Come to Japan. I barely spend any money here. Anytime I try to spend money one of my lab underlings insists on paying because I am a respected guest.

Eating at your relatives' houses is for the weak!
