although a small part of me disagrees, the majority of me agrees that it would be wonderful to fly backwards in time, or jump to another place, where having my period means i get to hang out on a mossy rock for a while and swim in cleansing streams.

our lives are so sterile.

One of the women at day program used to get soooooooo upset because her staff would make her go to program on days she had her period... she had been raised to stay home when she had her menses, but could no longer be cared for by her family so had to conform to all the rules of her house... When I found out what it was that she wanted to be doing (she was screaming in Farsi so it took some time)- I was right there with her!!!!

On heavy days at work when I finally relent and use a tampon to supplement my paddage, I picture myself somewhere like Fern Gully just bleeding and being free and swimming and meditating and sunbathing...
