Did almost nothing day - just lazed on the beach. It was wonderful, although the weather went a bit crappy this afternoon.

Had dinner and then walked around for while and then came back to the hotel to find Die Hard 3 on.

Went to Disneyland with the family again. It's really not as good for me now as it was when I was young. I don't hate it, but I don't exactly love it either.

Felt really sleepy this afternoon, came back to the hotel at about 4pm and slept.

Pretty meh day - aside from driving the Mustang again to get dinner. Whee!

Slept in today until midday, and then went to Disneyland. I guess it's alright, just doesn't have the same sort of affect on me as when I was young. We have five days worth of tickets but I doubt I will go there for more than two. Today we went to Arlington National Cemetary, which was quite a solem experience - perhaps even a little overwhelming. I couldn't bring myself to take any photos because I felt that would be turning it into a tourist experience, which I don't feel that it is (and in a way, I resented people around me who were taking photos, and talking loudly etc ( Read more... )

So much for taking it easy today! Saw quite a lot today. Started off with the Washington Monument, which was great - largely because there was a lift you could take to the top of the inside of monument, allowing for a spectaular view of the city. We are taking D.C. at a more relaxed pace, so the only thing we did today was the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, which I loved. Arrived in Washington D.C. via train, which wasn't as bad as I thought. Didn't do any sightseeing today and have just lounged around the hotel (although the White House and Capitol Hill looked very impressive on the way in. Today was a bit less involved, but the most significant thing was going to the top of the Empire State building. It was expensive ($20US/head) but entirely worth it. The view was amazing, but I am sick of my camera being so shit. I hope SOME of my photos turned out well ( Read more... )
