At the close of every workday since we moved to Lakeview last August, I exit the Purple line train at the Belmont stop and walk east toward the lake front. I did, however, stop in the store many times. I know the guy you're talking about. Interestingly, I mostly stop there for the kewpie in the floppy bottle too! I recently got some with wasabi in it. It's green! Soooo very good on frites.
Yes, I'm calling them frites. Do not object.
