Saugatuck
Holland
Traverse City
Gaylord
Petosky
Harbor Springs
M-119 (gorgeous)
Legg's Inn (yummy! but a bit crazy. ;)
Mackinaw City
St. Ignace (saw the lame "The Mystery Spot")
Mackinac Island (saw most of it...)
So, we got around to a fair amount in short period of time (obviously we left a lot unseen for the next trip :) To be honest, the pace felt a little less than relaxing from time to time (mostly the drive from Gaylord to Mackinaw City), but overall it was really fantastic.

if i had known you were planning this trip i would have so made you stay an extra day or two in the traverse city area- my parents live about 45 minutes away in frankfort on crystal lake and it's absolutely beautiful there. they'd have totally given you a place to stay, their best friends have a koi pond in their living room (and live next door to an alpaca farm!), my dad restores old wooden sailboats, and so much more.
i'll be up there for ten days in october if you feel like making another trip.... it's my favorite place in the world.

We totally might be able to come up for a long weekend in October! Lemme know what days you're going and we'll try to make it work.

Yah...lol. Christophe, Mika and Robin Thicke make this is a breakout year for the super-fey, X-Treme Falsetto pop star. Have you seen the video for "Double Je"? It's creepy the first time through (hearing that voice come out of that face), but after that it's really cute!!
