So I ask, you frequenters, how do you get motivation to do this?  I don’t think I could easily develop a habit of just doing it every day I get home or something, because I don’t post about my daily happenings, not usually at least.  I like to do more philosophical things.  I am at work now btw….lunch break (I had KFC Crispy Chicken Snacker (w/ ( Read more... )

When I'm at work, I jot things down on register tape. Anywhere else, I use the notepad feature on my phone to take down key words to remind me what I wanted to talk about. Then, whenever the mood strikes again, I blog about those things. Otherwise, I blog about daily happenings a lot because sometimes I like to remember little things, and sometimes, I just want to share bits of my day with the people I don't get to talk to regularly.

cheese on chicken? Eh.

As for blogging... 99% of mine are on my daily happenings and I'm usually here when I want to say whatever it is. If I do something of importance though, I come home and I write about it. It's never really been hard for me to write about anything, so... I don't know. Maybe Jade's idea will help.

I know what you mean... I write the best when something either really inspires me or really distresses me, which are extreme emotions that don't happen everyday. When I was in AmeriCorps, all sorts of inspiring and distressing things were going on, so I wrote almost everyday. Now, not so much hehe. I do carry a little notebook around, and sometimes I write down ideas or concepts that I would like to write about. But you need to let it write itself, not force it. It might not be often, but when it does come out, it will be a good entry. It's good therapy.
