character relationships.

kai - Axel's reason for living and breathing. His soulmate in this life, and hopefully all the ones after. Kai can calm him down, cheer him up, reassure him, and single-handedly tames Hachibi just by existing. There aren't enough words in all the worlds to describe the depth of his love for Kai.

nami - He doesn't know a huge amount about Nami, and a lot of what he knows is inferred from playing the games. He's been around Nami only a handful of times, but has found him just as calming and squishable as Kai. Hopefully he can have both of them for Christmas again.

apricot - Yes, he gets his own thing here. It's because Apricot is the best goddamn bunny ever. He, like several other people, has told Apricot things that no one else knows. Fatbun is like... the DR secret-keeper. Yeah. Also his diet is very similar to Axel's, and Axel is a total tool for him and carries him around.

riku - He really really really respects Riku. He's tried so hard to get on her good side and be her friend, and he's finally basically there. The incident right before Halloween was just a hiccup. But he's sparred with her and respects her fighting abilities and powers, and he loves that she's around for Kai. She can also keep Ri in line, which is something everyone can appreciate.

ri - Oh, Ri. Where to start. He's a little narrow-minded and a lot stubborn, and he and Axel got off on slightly the wrong foot. But they're friends now. Ri's cooking skills are only one reason for that. He wants to smack Ri sometimes, but on the whole he's a pretty cool guy who really cares about his friends.

riku - It's hard to describe this relationship. Axel completely understands what being used and abused does to a person, no matter the kind of use and abuse. He wants to help Riku however he can, and really honestly loves him. Not in the same way that he loves Kai, but it's definitely there. It's slightly aided by the fact that they've had sex a couple of times. This is one of those confusing things Axel's bad at explaining. : (
