my dream home in
saucydwellings is making my knees weak. I would do a few things differently, like replace the trunk in the living room and change the kitchen floor tiles to something less dramatic, maybe get rid of the yellow walls (pumpkin orange would be better), but everything else there is dreamy. That house would make me very, very happy.

You have floors like that, don't you?

I think my ideas of what I want to live in are changing. I'm realizing I'll probably never have a chance to build my strawbale home that I've dreamed about for so long, so my interests have turned to older, maybe historic, homes.

your dream house has the same molding (at the floor) as my 1910 millhouse. i wish mine had interesting molding around the doorways like that one though. and i love the old doors with glass knobs. really want to find some old glass door knobs for my doors (well, once i get rid of the crappy hollow core doors anyway).
i must bookmark those photos, in case i ever have a chance to redo my kitchen. my kitchen is far too 1980s for my tastes. i mean, i'm glad they took care of the place, upgrading as needed - but i wish the previous owners had renovated more keeping with the spirit of a 1910 home.
