I'd love to live in the country. If it was only a fifteen minute commute to work. And to all of the other things I like about the city (like decent shops).
So unless the Bypass is playing up, I'm 15-20 minutes from the office. Decent shops? Well, there's the Straiton retail park 7 minutes away, and three supermarkets inside 10 minutes, and the village shops in Roslin...
Actually, given the speed at which new houses are going up around the village, we won't be in the country much longer.
There's a new development down Liberton Brae, linking the town to Straiton, they are clearing ground between Bilston and the Bush, and between Bilston and Roslin.
At the moment, we still have fields on two sides, and trees on the other two, but you can hear the bulldozers getting closer...
