wow, I was wincing everytime she touched me! my gums were inflamed and sensitive, which made it worse. :\ but I have to or risk loss of a few teeth.
and anyway, the private ones are always much much nicer than goverment-owned ones. I remembered those nurses in primary/secondary school, always scolding you when you have gum problems. like as if you purposely went and get gum disease like that. *sighs*
Yeah, the government-owned one in primary school was freaky to the power of infinity. I remember that very auntie-looking dentist who scolded me through the whole teeth-cleaning session. Nag and nag and nag; no wonder everyone will freak out when we're called out to go to the school dental clinic. Then she will also use so much force when cleaning that our gums keeps bleeding. -_- Irritating. And she'll get pissed if our gums are screwed. Lol.
Of course, there are exceptions. I remember vividly there's this dentist nurse when i was in Primary 1. She was damn friendly..kept talking to us while doing all that .. and we didn't feel pain then. Hahaha, but she left 1 year after. :\ How very sad.
I have bleeding gums at night sometimes. It doesn't help that the dentist just complains to me, and don't do much about it.
my dentist (at the private clinic) said it's due to buildup of tar-tar..it inflames/irritates the gums and causes it to be ultra-sensitive, so that's why it bleeds at the slightest provocation. She took some instrument and blew air at my gums to prove her point, and true enough, it started to bleed.
F R E A K Y to infinity! So gross. Yucks.
My primary school dental nurse made me stay back during recess to chew the pink tablet and brush..blargh!
