I think I have this book somewhere. Most likely in storage with all my other books.

Tell me why this book touched you so deeply?

I have grown-up despising religion and the word G/god. I have seen hundreds of people do the most silly, selfish, hateful, mean spiritied and hypocritical things in the name of their G/gods and religion.

I couldn't even hear the word G/god without getting angry and going into a tyrade.

I still despise religion and overly 'G/godly' people but I can tolerate and try and understand them a bit more. Reading The Four Agreements helped me see that god, didn't have to be the god affiliated with organised religion, it could just be an adjective for whatever you felt or saw in your heart and minds eye.

The Four Agreements book was given to me by a good friend, a wise friend that could see I needed some guidance a place to start from. The book and it's philosophies helps me stay grounded and put things into perspective, for me, it just makes sense. I guess on some level, silly as it may sounds it taps into my Native American heritae in an odd, unexplainable sort of way.

I am not really explianing this well, hard to really.

I hope so... if I cannot take my own advice and use the tools I share with others that would just be silly, wouldn't it?!

I am feeling a bit better, pushing through my negative thinking... one day at a time, right? We can be strong for eachother.
