Appearance:
Zak is especially short for his age and he’s long since used to craning his neck for the sake of looking up at people. He doesn’t seem bothered by his height in any way, but his limbs are otherwise looking too skinny for the rest of his body, so he wears baggier clothing to cover up for his more lanky appendages.
Shaggy blonde hair reaches midway down his neck, just barely licking his shoulders. Bangs cover his forehead, but make way enough for blue eyes to make their presences known. There is a patch of freckles on his left cheek, but not one speck can be found on any other part of his face.
He wears the color red a lot.
Personality:
It’s safe to say Zak is a highly intelligent child… for eleven, of course. He knows this well and is long since used to praise about his skills, so he is generally cocky and thinks he’s well on his way to knowing everything he knows about the world to the point of complete arrogance, brattiness, selfishness. Zak has already accepted the responsibility that will be forced upon him in a matter of time, though he’s honestly a little bitter about having to follow in his father’s footsteps so closely.
Even at his young age, Zak tends to be cynical when he wants to be, already taking a turn for the introverted whenever he’s comfortable enough around someone. Otherwise, he plays the part of the perfect child, who’s ready and willing to do what Sphere needs him to eventually take care of.
Usually, Zak conforms to the part he’s supposed to play in order to get the best results. If one tactic fails, it’s time to try another. Life is one algorithm after another, after all, and Zak is determined to get the best result he can.
Zak tends to be a hard person to satisfy - he almost always gets bored with things easily, but he'll try his best to keep people humored as long as they need him. But put him in front of a tray of candies or sweets - and especially ice cream - and all of his tiny fronts are discarded, and dare I say, he acts just like any other eleven-year-old would, hands down.
History:
。Zak’s father, Nicholas Bannon, is one of the leading engineers for Sphere, manufacturing dozens of elite machinery, weaponry, computers, robots - you name it, Dr. Bannon could blueprint and manufacture it.
。Zak himself was shaping up to be quite an intelligent child, already taking advanced extra-curricular classes with ease.
。The family was secured in wealth and status - Zak was eventually going to take up his father’s job as well when he was older, and that would further guarantee Sphere’s success as well as the family’s.
。Well, it would have, if the explosion hadn’t kicked in. Although Zak and his mother survived the explosion and were both released from the coma relatively quickly, his father was not. He’s been placed into critical care at a highly esteemed hospital, but his condition has not yet gotten any better.
。In the mean time, Zak is being pressured to continuing his studies. With Dr. Bannon’s health declining, Zak’s prowess with mathematics and engineering is needed… even with Sphere out of the picture, Zak is sure someone will have need for his services.
。More so, Zak is waiting for a chance to surpass his father, rather than being forced to follow in his footsteps. Sweet dreams, dad.
