Sorry Martha... :-*

I actually have ideas for posts. They're flitting around in my head like little butterflies, but I just haven't had time to set them down yet. I feel like I should make a joke about the men with the butterfly nets coming after me, but really, I'll let you fill in the blanks on that one ( Read more... )

I normally don't watch youtube because I have a dial-up connection too. Don't ask why, I don't know. I haven't gotten around to changing it. Anyway, I had to click on this because you said you were in drag and you two are always hilarious.
The best parts:
1)That guy almost walking into Martha while the two of you were on the streetcorner. His face and movements are priceless.
2)When you had a piece of hair in your mouth while you were singing.
Very entertaining.
And we haven't talked in much too long, so we're going to have to change that.

I think you made a good choice in choosing to watch. You're a pretty Zen kind of guy, so I imagine you took the time to get your chakras in order while waiting for it to load ;)

My favourite part was getting beaten by the nuns. Kidding. The whole thing was fun, though I did enjoy playing both the roles of therapist AND patient. Story of my life.

We should change that. I'm not on AIM whole lot, which puts a crimp in things, but hopefully we'll stumble into the same orbit sooner rather than later.

Yes, I'm all about Zen.
Being the therapist and the patient has it's pluses.
You should get on AIM more often. But yeah, hopefully we can see each other some time. I'm going to be at your sister's show on Thursday.

Glad you enjoyed it! I think we had a little too much fun making it. Yeah, we got the perfect flippant voiceover guy. Love it.

I tried to keep it clean, but in the end, I think the five o'clock shadow really added an extra patina of ridiculousness to the whole project...which was what we were going for, anyway.

Haha, yes, it did rather sound like you had a good bit of fun making it, but that's part of the charm of it! It's so WONDERFULLY campy. And yes, the voice over guy was absolutely perfect! ;-)

Precisely! And there's nothing wrong with a little dirtyness, afterall.

that's a fucking riot. i love it. i particularly enjoyed the "traveling" motif with the tiny plane and car, and the over-emotive lip-synching. what doting children you two are ;)

We're a special kind of family. I'm so glad you enjoyed our "special effects." I thought that having us run down the street, followed by the shot of the tiny plane really expressed the sense of movement in the best way possible ;)

I think the part that really got me was the "dancer with bruised knees."

You can always exploit the literal for a cheap laugh. Cheap laughs are among my favourite kinds, actually. But it's always been my favourite album title out all the ones my mom and aunt have put out.

You're beautiful, out, and have a gorgeous voice. Why wouldn't I want you on my list?

And the video was great.

Oh, you know the way straight to my friends-list, don't you? I'm a flattery-whore to the nth degree.

Thank you very much. There's nothing like a heaping dose of smart-assery to get one through the day.
