I love fall in New York. I've been whinging about it to Martha for ages now...about how I've been craving it. Summer is all right. You get a tan and can wear sandals all the time and attractive people tend to get naked in public a lot more. But it's also sweaty and smelly and smoggy and insert your own alliterative term. You know? I like a bit of ( Read more... )

I have to admit I am slightly envious at the things you have accomplished, though I would think of no one better to receive them. It's just... I remember first starting out with you. Of course you had a record out a few years before me but we were still starting together... and look where you are now! You have done so many things and accomplished so much. I fucked up as well and hoping for survival. And if I do I'll hope to get a second chance as well. You're really busy and somehow I get slightly jealous but not in a mean way. All the best to you, you seem like one of these people that deserve it!

Getting what you wanted is a bit surreal. Landing yourself in that point where you’ve succeeded you start getting restless, wondering what is next and falling into the romance of every affair and addiction that the job leaves on your doorstep. At some point, if you’re lucky, you realise you’re crushing everything you were working to accomplish and by the time you get out you can only hope you still have it in you. Obviously, you do.

I hope my comeback doesn't involve any of that shit, it's good enough to focus on what I'm doing already.

Your concern is sweet, but don't push me, Teddy. I don't like it. And you should know that.
