My first response was to random letter all over myself because, jesus, no one could ever make our lives sound as fanciful as you and still get exactly to the heart of the matter. You were always the prince, and you still are, you know, even though I'm off doing my own thing so often. No matter how much you blew around, you were still the thing that made me feel like it was alright. Obviously, Mum always had more than a capable handle on situations, but it was knowing that I would always have my big brother to hold onto that made me feel okay with Dad being gone. Ugh, this comment is not at all what I want because I'm half-drunk and want to hug you, but the bottom line is something you already know, and that is that you've always been the person I look up to. Mum's got the wisdom of years, but you know what it was like to grow up in our family. You know what it's like to deal with a dad who was torn between pride and jealousy at his kids, and you know things about me that Mum would cringe and shudder to know and only laugh about ( ... )

Well, you do random-letter so well ;) And you know me, I'm all about the legends, even if it means being the architect of my own. You are always the princess (and won't let me forget it for a second, especially in the times when I think about taking both titles for myself). You'll get that hug, and I like your half-drunk comments. So sweet.

I know life would kick my ass a lot harder if you weren't there to kick it for me. Better the devil you know... ;)

I love you, too, Martha. We're not getting older, we're just getting better :-*
