I listened to Sleater-Kinney on the way into work this morning. I fucking love that band. Leave it to S-K to cover a song I don't like and make me just love it ("More Than a Feeling"). I have a question that I always think to ask you when I am driving to Seattle, but never when I am at a computer.

Why is there a Sleater-Kinney street somewhere in the Tacoma-ish area? Are they named after something? Is the street named for them?

Inquiring minds on I-5 want to know. If they are me.

Hiya! S-K took the street name as their band name. I think they had a practice space on S-K. Trivia rocks!

I was right! From wikipedia:

The group's name is derived from Sleater-Kinney Road, Interstate 5 offramp #108 in Lacey, Washington, the location of one of their early practice spaces.
