I gave blood this morning, which makes me a real cheap date tonight. I just opened my third beer. So now it's a contest to see if I can finish this entry before I fall asleep

My son wants to find a brewery that takes volunteers once a month or so, a day's work in exchange for free beer. His dad thought he was kidding, but I don't think so...
Well, you can tell the enterprising young man that both the breweries in my neighborhood take volunteers every week to help with the bottling, and the payment rate is a case of beer for a shift of labor.
In fact, a couple of summers ago, when I became unemployed from my computer work, I collected unemployment to keep the bills paid and I volunteered at both breweries, one day here, one day there, to keep myself in beer. I had two cases of beer a week and plenty of free time to enjoy it.
You would totally be the most popular guest at my BBQs ;-) Although often, the beer of choice is (and I hate to say it)...PBR. Blech! It this town filled with really good microbreweries, they pick that swill. *rolls eyes* Me, I'm a fan of the IPAs and Ambers...
anyway, unlimted supply of beer is a pretty good perk! :-)
