Don't scream

It may trigger an artalanche.

Been a while, hasn't it?
I decided, since I'm so dreadful about keeping an actual journal that I might try doing a couple of doodles about college life and perhaps share what I've been up to on a daily basis.

Left to right, top to bottom: bunk beds suck, how the hell do glasses get so dirty, walking to class, work

Fittings, Latin, Holmes, Rocky Horror

My rehearsals are better than yours. Just sayin'. Also pictured: Watching Howl's Moving Castle with the roomies, and A Kitchen Is A Burden, Not A Privilege.

The Rescuers was one of my absolute FAVORITE films as a child, and I was definitely Miss Bianca one Halloween.

When you're on a bus, and you've gotten tired of the trashy romance mystery novel your professor assigned, what do you do?

You draw random bullshit.

Some of you may remember from my last entry that I've been watching BBC's new miniseries, Sherlock.

this guy.
His face.

This guy and HIS FACE, augh what a cutie, amirite?

Please keep in mind that these are entirely unreffed, and that is why this is terrible.
Moriarty is hilarious, though. HELLOOOOOOOOOOOO

There's just SOMETHING about Mycroft as a character that really appeals to me for some reason. Maybe it's the "intelligent but too lazy to do anything really" that sort of reminds me of myself, to my chagrin. Affectionate chagrin, but nevertheless.
Also, he's a badass.

Just some faces, practicing varying features.

The same faces, but female. I kind of hate #7 on both of these. :I

Galahad is by far my least favorite of King Arthur's knights. Tristan agrees with me.

John mouse. I REGRET NOTHING.

ajkdfjjhgjfjghnnnnnnnn

Doyle's Holmes, a terrible depiction.

I watched The Final Problem and The Empty House within 24 hours of each other. This is not a good idea if you are as emotional as I am and don't want to embarrass yourself.
For those of you unfamiliar with the story: The Empty House begins with Watson working as basically a crime scene doctor, keeping his hand in even after Holmes's supposed death. One day, after Lestrade has mentioned to Watson that they are working on a particularly puzzling case, Watson comes home to find a bizarrely persistent travelling salesman in his apartments. The man suggests that the doctor take a look in his bookshelf and see if there's anything he wants to supplement his collection. When Watson turns around, who is standing there but his old friend who has been legally dead for three years.
THREE.
YEARS.
Understandably, Watson faints.
tl;dr Holmes dressed up in a disguise to surprise his bff but failed in every way to comprehend the emotional ramifications of the situation. What else is new.

From my concealed place I watched you and your followers investigating in the most sympathetic and inefficient manner the circumstances of my death.
SOB.

Again, unreffed, unfortunately. Lestrade is kind of weirdly adorable.
You seem to want some unofficial help. Three undetected murders in one year won't do, you know.
LOL.

And we'll wrap it up with some original stuff, the commission that I've been working on for zarephathcs for about 800 bazillion years (through entirely my fault, I assure you). This one requires a bit of backstory, but I'll just quote her because I'm a lazy jerk and have other things to do.
"This requires a bit of backstory![UNINTENTIONAL QUOTE, I SWEAR] The fabulous fabledquill and I met ages ago on an Avatar: The Last Air Bender AU RP. I've fallen out of touch to some degree with a chunk of the people there for varied reasons, but I've kept in fairly decent touch with her. She's also kind-of-sort-of-in-spirit a part of apromisedland, in that the derpy stuff we do impacts the canon there.

Around April we both found the song O'Death by Jen Titus (damn you Stupidnatural) and we ended up going "how cool would it be to do a comic with the characters based on the song?" The answer was very.

I did the scripting/rough boards and handed it over to Hanners. It became a commission of sorts, and I really can't begin to get over how gorgeous it all looks. Hanners' work on the paneling in particular I think is one of the strongest aspects, especially since this is a wordless comic."
And basically it's about a couple in the mafia (one of whom is France, yeah, it's a long story) and Francis sometimes gets dragged along on shit he doesn't want to do. Please ignore the weird numbering, as I am an idiot.

Until next time,

Hanners
