I Want to Strangle my TA

As you may or may not know, I recently started my education again and have quickly become disillusioned with the entire institution.

This first class is so banal I want to scrub my brain with comet cleaner and bleach. My fellow “students” wouldn’t know a spell-check button if it leaped up and bit them in the ass, they cannot seem to communicate in ( Read more... )

geeze D: online schooling seems to be a minefield of horrible schools. D: Don't be afraid to look for another school of that one is not reaching your standards! They don't deserve your money just because you picked them up out of a line up.

I know, I'm looking into options but I don't want to jump the gun either. I will finish this first class in hopes the second course separates the wheat from the chaff.

That sounds horrible. I've never had that sort of trouble with online school, but perhaps that's because I'm at the graduate level and it's just an online program through a regular university. (I've had trouble with instructor's not giving personalized help and/or feedback, though. That's balls.)

But seriously, if they can't be arsed to even write proper English. Shit, even the students at the community college where I work can do that.

Oh mercy! Has it really come down to that? I bet that the "Thomasians" (missionary teachers who came to the Philippines via the USS Thomas, back in the 1900s, and the reason why we wrote and spoke fairly good English over generations) are turning over in their graves to see how their descendants are mangling the English language.
