D, Rick's passing saddens me greatly. I wish I would have kept in touch with him over the years. Rest in peace, Rick. You will be greatly missed.

Yeah, It's just so sad. I feel sadder for Barbara, she lost her husband just after their third anniversary and he was just 20 days away from turning 40. It's just staggering he didn't even make 40. He got dealt some shitty health cards and I just wish there was more doctors could have done for him, before it got to the stage he was at in the end. No one should have to die in constant pain like he had been living with for some time now.

He really did get the short end of the health stick. He was so enthusiastic back in the GWFF days! And then he seemed so determined, even after he first got ill, to go on finding joy in things. It is very sad.

He was like that still, right up until the end. I sent flowers to Barb, it seems so trite, but I had to do something.
